This is my first attempt at a piece of artistic tensegrity. Most tensegrity work I have seen have all of the structural elements visible and "artistically" distracting. My objective was to hide many of the structural elements and highlight the turned piece only. So all the structural elements under tension in this piece are lengths of fine blackened fishing line (still some of the buggers are visible :-( ) . This allows the magic of the levitating qualities of tensegrity to be made more explicit. Such intrigue and challenge and possibilities.
