Had a lot of scrap baltic birch to do something with. 8" diameter X 5-3/4" tall. Made with 1/2" baltic birch with 3/8" vertical spacers. The foot and lip are walnut. Did this to remind myself how much I hate to turn side grain plywood. As usual all comments are welcome.
Very impressive work. I can see that cutting the segments for each layer is more complicated than the "normal" way of doing segmented turning because the vertical pieces are always the same size in each ring while the horizontal pieces grow longer with each ring.
