Woodturnings_057

Natural edged birch burl. The wood had started to deteriorate, hence the color. It's about 1/8th thickness, 7 inches at the widest.
 
One of my favorite parts of turning is discovering what's really there in a piece of wood. You found something grand. I won't rate the photo highly, just the form and figure.
