Nice job keeping the bark on. Looks like it could go at any moment. I think for most folks at a social gathering it does provide some artistic interest as they grab a handful of nuts. "How did he do that?"
 
Thank you for the nice words. The bark was surprisingly tough and resilient. I was told that cork oak was good for natural edge work and, though this was only the second time I've tried it, I must agree.
