Michael, I understand the think/feel dichotomy and it's an interesting depiction in wood. I assume the blue is the "think" side with the boxed, targeted thought, like we box ourselves into thinking in certain ways. The other side, more flowing and warm is the feeling side. (The only part that doesn't work well for me is the brown base/transition) No mind, it's an intriguing sculpture.

If I had this piece, I would have to put it on a powered turn table to be able to veiw both sides ( still can't decide which I like the best). Outstanding work and color choice.

Betty-Thanks for the comments. Exactly right on the analysis, and I agree that the transition, trying to synthesize both elements, isn't the strongest. I left it the natural walnut as a transition.

By placing the piece on a motorized turn table, that would turn at 1 RPM every minute or so. That way you would get the beauty of the piece with out having to physically having to turn it to enjoy the other side. At least in my minds eye.
