Birch bowl, 13 x 3.

I made this bowl for an artist who wanted the wide rim to paint her native art on, but she didn't respond when I messaged that it was ready. So it sat on a shelf for a time because plain wood like that needs some kind of enhancement and I couldn't figure out what, until I saw Mike Gibson's "Ersatz" (http://www.aawforum.org/community/index.php?media/ersatz.14950/) and decided to try something similar.
