Variety is the Spice of Life #02

Butternut bowl, carved, textured, painted, standing 4" high. This is another piece in the order for my wife's relatives. They brought me basically the entirety of a downed butternut tree, and have commissioned me to make for them around 100 pieces from it. I am given artistic freedom to craft whatever I choose, so I am making a variety of forms with multiple functions: hollow forms, vases, bowls, platters etc. Variety is the spice of life!
