Twisted Pi

This 6-inch diameter bowl was turned from Angelique using a half-twist method to generate the interesting patterns on the upper half. A textured band was turned at the mid-section and the number PI (to 32 digits past the decimal) was embossed in the textured ring. What better number to grace the surface of a bowl formed from the intersection of offset cylinders! Finish is Watco oil buffed on the Beall system.
