Back to more boxes, this beauty is turned from Thuya Burl (Tetraclinis articulata) from the Atlas mountains of Morocco. This type of figure is found in the roots, and can be stunning, but clogs sandpaper like crazy! Features on this box include a true round bottom, curved sides, domed lid and a chamfered rim. Turned, hollowed and finished with gloss lacquer. Size is 1 7/8" diameter x 2" tall. This wood also has a very strong smell, along with many tiny inclusions and knot holes that add character.
