14" Black Walnut Cheese platter

I was about to dig this foreign body out of this slab of walnut when I decided to take a closer look and said "Go Figure"

What are the chances of finding a bullet let alone cutting through it so perfectly. I basically used my Scraper on that part of the of the piece just enough to get rid of the rough cut surface from the saw.

Doug, Amazing, nice work. Lucky that it was contained in the final section and not turned away. Was it a lead ball? I hit a nail while turning a piece of yew with tool damage.

I think the bullet is copper and lead, but I didn't actually check the composition. The bullet shows only in the top. I not good enough to get it that thin just yet, but my work is getting thinner. Thanks everyone for your comments!
