I'll be part of this years Finnish woodturning contests jury. Every year Nalle Ritvola has been the head of the jury taking care of jurying but also he has had important task giving comments of the contest's pieces. Jury don't receive any compensation of its work but I feel that it would decent that at least Nalle receives some sort of payment of his work.
As a small "thanks" from Finnish Woodturning association I decided to create this piece, called "Supporters". Because it would be too dramatic to say that this reflects my life in many levels I just say that this is pretty personal creation.
Woods are oak root and larch burl. Stand was turned, carved, textured and ebonized. Vessel was dyed with spirit based dye, coated with cellulose and buffed. Inside is coated with acrylics. Horizontal supports are graphite.
