Squeeze Bowl

Squeeze Bowl

Black Cherry green turned with the pith. The clamp was used to reshape the high wings before the piece dried completely, and roughly indicates the width at completion of turning. This is my first try doing this after seeing Chris Ramsey's posts
Glad to see you are giving it a try. I use rubber bands to bend a bowl and install them left to right as the bowl is pictured. The rubber bands give constant even pressure and are much less likely to crack a bowl. The clamps give a lot of pressure and as the bowl bends the pressure is lessened and the clamp has to be tightened. Steady constant pressure is a better way to get the bend you want.
