Spirit Bear Vessel

Three views of the "Spirit Bear Vessel", a commission that I just finished. Turned and edged by Dan Zobel, painted, pierced and pyroed by me. (6" x 4" - Holly).

Spirit bears are a rare subspecies of the American black bear living in the Central and North Coast regions of British Columbia, Canada. They are white (not albino). There are only about 1300 spirit bears in existence.

The dots and dashes along the top of the piece are morse code for "spirit bear" and "moskgm'ol", the name the indigenous Canadian tribe has gaven them.
Love hiding little personal touches in a piece, that help create a deeper personal connection to the piece. Thanks so much for the comment and assurances.
