I made a remote demonstration to my club, “Five Ways to Make A Sphere.” Here are the spheres made either during the demo or while practicing. Largest is 9 inch diameter and hollow. Smallest is 1.5 inch diameter. 6 species of wood.
I demonstrated spheres by a shop-made jig, between cup centers, using templates( three different kinds), the octagon method, and using a scraper made from a hole saw.
@Michael Nathal I have played around with a hole saw, but couldn't find any HSS hole saws locally so I went with a bi-metal instead. Worked (sorta), but left a rough surface.
