Spaulted Maple Bowl July 08 # 2

Second spaulted maple bowl this month. Bowl 10"x 10." This piece comes from a batch of maple I got in the neighborhood across from my house. My wife and her friend saw it while they were walking and (believe it or not) encouraged me to go get some pieces of wood. I have been sitting on this piece for about 4 years waiting for the time to become available. I finished it with tung oil followed by wax to really shine it up. I think it turned out dandy.
