Spalted maple hollow form

The wood for this piece was from the same log as the super punky hollow form I posted a week or so ago. This part of the log seemed to be in better shape, so figured it was worth a spin on the lathe. It cut and sanded better than the previous round, but was still very dry and soaked up a ton of shellac. Went with a semigloss finish because each coat of shellac kept getting absorbed and, after about the tenth coat, I decided it was time to move on to the next piece 😅
