Spalted maple hollow form

Spalted maple hollow form

I twice turned this one. Its 10 inches wide and 10 1/2 inches tall. Its finished with a water based lacquer and wet sanded to 12,000 grit.
It is generally difficult to catch the spalting of maple at the right time, but looks like you did with this one!....but, then again, maybe I've been unusually unlucky with it. When it turns our just right, it's spectacular!
