Soft Maple Firewood

As requested, picture(s) if the object in the upper right. Oil and Wax, probably another polish due
Is there a foot/flat edge under this or is the bottom round on through the shape?

I'm not a "foot" guy. I like an uninterrupted, or slightly relieved sweep upward. It's a ~2" recess with a bit of wood around the edge on a piece around 9" in diameter. I prefer to leave the bottom a bit thicker than the sides for CG problems.

I really like this one Michael, the organic rim, and the dark wood grain make this one of my favorites of your bowls. You chose a good profile to show the wood. Was the fractured edge from the log splitter?

Thankee, George. This is the ugly cousin of a wildly grained piece from the other side of the log. The edges were well-fractured from splitting, but I just couldn't bear to burn all of it.
