Simple vase - SJPT with worms!

I was at the gallery yesterday where our club has a display of items from the Stonewall Jackson Prayer tree........all the items are to benefit the Wounded Warrior Project until the end of February.

While there, I did an interview with the local TV station - they wanted to do a feature on this effort for the 6 o'clock news. Anyway, the guy working at the gallery at the time told me that most of the wood items sold by the gallery are the simple items......mostly bowls, platters, etc.

I had a limb piece off this tree, and decided to make a vase........sort of utilitarian, and put a simple form on it with simple embellishment.....just to give this old gnarly wood some help.

This piece of wood had several worms in it.........I filled their holes.......no extra charge! This piece is 7.5 inches high and 5.25 wide at the top.
