Shell Fragment Series #10
Rick Crawford

Shell Fragment Series #10

13"H x 9"W x 2.75"D. Spalted ambrosia maple, turned, cut, carved, pierced, Danish oil finish. Base is poplar, paint and hidden brass rod.

This was also in the IG in St. Paul, and is based on the hard clam shells that I find at Matanzas Inlet in Northeast Florida. I have stylized it a bit to give a nod once again to the custom auto radiator caps of the 1930's, and the base also does the same for the auto fenders of the same era.

C & C's are most welcome!
Hi Scott, thanks very much! I have fun creating this series, and there's more in the works.

Smiles,
Rick
