Like to thank Odie for this wood. It is shag bark hickory measures 7" across x 4" tall. It weigh's 223 g and the finish is 3 coats of Danish Oil and buffed with the 3 step Beall buffing system.
That's a rare wood to see here, and after trying my hand at it a few years ago I can understand why, it was like trying to turn dry cement.

I have given away a few pieces of miscellaneous woods that I knew I'd never get around to finishing for one reason or another. I have given Lamar some of those that I had available. I may have more to give away at some time in the future........
