Serial 24024 Model CCDE0408 End Grain Lidded Container

The cherry used in this item came from the MSP Metro area I assume it was a yard tree. The lid was segmented 5 layers cherry made from lumber that probably came from Pennsylvania. The body is end grain from the full round so the pith is visible in the base. The rough turned piece was turned to about a 5/16" wall thickness and finish turned to less then 3/16" walls. The measurements are 4" diameter X 8" high and the finish is Watco DO and satin wax.
