Walnut, turned on 2 axes and finished with walnut oil. Hand carved exterior. Capacity 1-1/2 ounces.
Great work. Can you show us the jig for the second axis
No jig. Turned between centers to make the handle. Then turned between centers again to shape the outside of the bowl and leave a little tenon on the bottom. Then gripped the tenon with a chuck to turn the inside. Then flipped it around and held the bowl against a friction plate with the tailstock in the center point of the tenon to turn the rest of the tenon away. Hand-carved the exterior to get rid of the ring left where the handle waste was.
