Sappy Mesquite
David Bartell

Sappy Mesquite

A full-featured piece of mesquite given to me by a friend with a sawmill. It is actually a teaser because the piece is from just outside the beginning of a huge burl. The burl will soon be cut with invitees to the occasion prepared to battle for the spoils. The sapwood in this piece is brilliant. Lots of voids for inlay. 9" wide and 6" tall.
