Boxelder, 3.75 inches by 6.75 inches.

I started piercing a thin boxelder vase according to the vision in my head of a relatively minor pierced area. The result didn't look anything like my vision so I set it aside for a year.

This year I came up with the idea of cutting out the bad parts and making a spiral piercing.

I must acknowledge the influence of Scott Hackler's "Vortex of the Beast"
