Sacred Mountain

Wood is Sugar Maple, it's 48 cm large, for 33 Wide and 23 cm high with the base...
The base is Holly Wood...One Thing is by chance I have saw three days before a film named "The Sacred Mountain" by Jodorowski...
Advice, critical, observations are welcome..
Paolo-

A neat looking piece. Definitely you want to keep your fingers out of of the way of the wings while turning it. Finish?

Gary

Gary, you right,i have to care both finger and sleeve of the jacket...but it's a nice summer turning becouse of wind that it generates...
i finish it with white beeswax mixed with around 20% of carnauba..rubbed the piece on steady lathe. i used put the mixed wax before using it in a pan heated to 40 C to have it more soft..
Thanks for Feedback Gary..

Hi Charles, beeswax and carnauba are already mixed before,

i used a pan heated to 40 to have the mixedWax softer..

the wax is not in direct contact with the pan, there is a cotton cloth between them...

After that stretch out the wax and dip a piece of cotton in turpentine, and began rubbing a lot of eight...

I'm quite young, that's the way i proceed with Wax, and its work, but i've a lot to work about..
paolo..
