Rusty Robbie

After seeing Robbie Grahams "Toru" series I had to try the multi axis turning for my self. 2" x 5" Poplar with Rust stuff. Turned on a Jet Mini Lathe. If I had a bigger machine I would like to turn a larger one.
Thank you Robbie for the inspiration.

Hi James, Very well done and thanks for the recognition. you have done a wonderful job with the rust. I had thought of covering the whole of my last piece with rust and now I know what it would have looked like.
I guess with no wood showing you can put heaps of acid on it with out worrying about getting on the wood and staining it.
Cheers, Robbie

Thank you Robbie. I'm glad you got to see it.
The rust didn't seem to be forming fast enough for me so I sprayed the acid on it till it was running all over the place, did this every two or three days for about two weeks, thought I might have over done it.
I'd like to do one with lids and the natural wood inside the cups like your last one, not sure what kind of wood.
Once again I Thank You for the inspiration.
Jim
