Ripples

I almost missed out on this piece of highly figured Silver Maple. While routing through a pile of logs last month, I did not see anything interesting on the first pass. Instead of leaving empty handed I decided to take a closer look. Then near the bottom of the pile I saw the blacken end of a maple log . So I decided to pull it out and cut it open, jackpot! Unfortunately the firewood cutters got the tree, but they left the stump, which is the best part. So I was able to get 4 or 5 good pieces.

Finish: Dyed blue with a gloss oil finish.

Dims: 9 3/4 H x 8 Dia.

Your forms are always so pleasing to the eye. This is a sizable HF and I`m sure it has even more impact than the picture can covey. Another big fan Andy! Consistently excellent.
