Red Maple Nested Set

Red Maple Nested Set of 5 bowls. The largest bowl is 17 3/4"W x 7 1/8"H. The log was recycled from the city' tree dump.

This is a very nicely proportioned set Michael! It is obvious no bowls are missing and the figure and finish add to the beauty. Were these turned green to finish or roughed and then re-turned?

Thanks for the nice comment George. Rough-turned wet in Sep.08. I finish-turned this set in 2 stages over 1 month in Jan.09. First stage down to a 1/2" wall thickness - let the wood settle for 2 weeks then re-turn down to final thickness... it helps minimize distortion.
