Pierced Eggs Ornament

A standing ornament with a pierced egg within a pierced egg. The inner egg is a chicken egg and the outer egg is a goose egg. The base is done in Blackwood. The whole thing stands a bit over 6 inches tall.
Very nice. The egg in an egg is intriguing. The contrasts of base and shells is nice. I like the delicate "feel" to the piece.

Terry, I've thought of that a couple of times. I had envisioned a smaller egg like a Quail or Robins egg on the inside. The Robins eggs are blue and might make an interesting color combo. Since I've painted and dyed eggs a bunch of other colors, creating colors isn't an issue. There are other bigger eggs that could be on the outside. Hadn't really gotten them together in one spot yet. One day.
