Pecan Winged Lidded Bowl w/ Solid Brass Finial

I always wanted to try one of these after viewing many that have been produced. This is a first of many more to come using Spalted Pecan lumber found after Hurricane Gustav (2008). Approximately 14" wingspan hollowed about 2.5" deep. Best guess on the height is 8" to top of solid brass finial. The finial was hand-turned on my woodlathe. All wood was sealed with multiple coats of BLO. Comments and critiques are welcomed.
