"Pas de Deux"

A kinetic sculpture of grain-matched sphere and femisphere - walnut and aluminum each about four inches in diameter. Sphere and femisphere intermittently rock and roll around each other, usually in contact. Over time all visual aspects of each piece are revealed, grain, the pattern of aluminum banding and the chatoyances. Controlling the esthetics of the kinetics has been a long instructive process - details next pic.

The kinetics can be seen on youtube at

Comments/critiques/reactions - positive, negative, constructive, destructive - always welcome as instructive.
