Not A Turning

Thought you might be interested. This was made for me by my friend Carolyn. It is from a dried gourd. It looks like maple burl. I thought it was really cool. She added Kokopellie (sp) because she knows I like south-west objects. She is going to give me one of her large, dried gourds so I can try turning it. Should be a fun experience.
6" diameter by 5.5" high.
Some paint and a little wax and it's done!
Isn't Nature wonderful!!!!!
Real Pretty! Gourds are pretty neat. Hawaiians do alot with them, and the Calabash bowl forms that are so popular here are based on the shapes of gourds. Thanks for sharing this! I have always liked what Southwest artists do with these.
