Norfolk Island Phoenix

9"h natural edge form, turned off-set center side grain, processed thru to translucency and a bit of pyro texturing on both sides of the rim and around the base. One picture is lighted from the front while the other from within. Turned to <1/8" thin, it is the technical challenge/aesthetic reward of creating pieces like this that keep me faithfully enamored with Norfolk Island Pine.
