Nested Burl

This set of nested arbutus burl bowls was turned green back in the spring, then stored in the freezer as I wanted to turn them thin and let them morph as they dried. I left them far longer than planned but recently finish turned them and left them under the lathe for 3 days in the shavings till I could sand them. The three days was too long and they started to mold with brown spots. To fix that I decided to bleach them with 2 applications. Still some spots on the live edge but otherwise mostly Ok, largest is 11" x 4" finished with tung oil.
