Mosaics

This is a bowl in a timber that looks like walnut but it is less dense, I do not know what it is but it has a nice dark brown color. Around the outer and inner edge, I have burned circles with my razortip. the colored fields is carved and colored with prismacolour markers. Size is 25 cm.
I really like this piece. My eye keeps moving from the rectangles on the rim to the nicely shaped bowl in the center. Very nice.

At first glance, I'd thought you inlaid some different pieces of wood on the mosaic......surprise! Those colored markers worked out well for your purposes, and I may try that sometime in the future. Thanks for showing us that.......
