Metamorphosis

The vessel represents the cocoon/burial and the upwords pointing finial represents the rebirth/ressurection. The first finial was a better profile but attempted to fly during the sanding process. I will likely turn another one (perhaps a little shorter?)

Reclaimed Walnut veneer core and ebonized Texas Mesquite finial. Vessel is 10"tall x 6" dia, 8" tall finial.
A fabulous HF Thomas a great job on resurecting the Walnut, appreciate your thoughts on the finial
Pete
