Mesquite Bejeweled

A vase turned from Mesquite and inspired by Native American basketry that incorporated jewelry pendants. The six pendants are turquoise, coral and silver beads. 6.5" tall, 6.5" wide.

Nice form and I love the dangles David! I do wonder what this would look like with less burning at the base….you know, your perfected “less is more” technique!!

Thanks Russ. I think the wood is attractive enough to do without the base work but it is an addition I seem to use on vases more often than not lately. The black accents on Mesquite please my eye. I appreciate your comment.
