When I make boxes, I try to combine my signature shapes with different woods. So, this is a combination I have not turned yet, the tower style turned in Masur Birch (Betula pendula var. Carelica) Of course you guys know Masur Birch is my favorite wood, it cuts so well, sands beautifully, and finishes very smoothly. Details include, a more aggressively sloped curve on the sides, domed lid, and raised foot. Turned, hollowed, and finished with gloss lacquer. Size is 1 3/4" tall x 2" diameter. So, how do you like this more aggressively sloped shape? Comments are always welcome!
