Honey Locust Burl

Honey Locust Burl

Natural edged bowl, 8 inch diam by 11 inches high, and pretty thin walls. Finished with Osmo Polyx and buffed. .
Impressive that you were able to keep the wall thickness consistent over that length and with that thinness. Really impressive. And a nice flowing shape, too. Great Job, MIchael.

Very nice form and a beautiful wood. Well done, Michael !!! Did you plan to have that thin edge? My preference would be to leave the NE thicker to showcase the uneven and spiked surface (if it had spikes). However, it is a beautiful piece as is.

Thanks. Yes, I planned to make it thin. I saw a thinned walled piece from Mike Jackovsky several years ago, although his bowl was much shorter. It stuck with me and I always wanted to try a similar piece.
