Well, I need to start practicing my round bottom box more since that is the style I will be demonstrating next month at the OVWG. So here is another one, turned from an exceptionally beautiful piece of Cocobolo (Dalbergia Retusa), it includes a true round bottom, more curved sides, domed lid, and chamfered lid edge. Turned, hollowed, and finished with gloss lacquer. Size is 1 3/4" tall x 1 3/4" in diameter. This wood was left over from a project I made last year, it really shows off, with the flame pattern in the center and all of the different colored stripes around it!
