William, I hope you don't take offence at my comments, they are not intended to be critical. The base has two issues that you might consider, first the curvature needs to flow all the way through. That would be more pleasing to the eye. Second, at the base, rather than have the abrupt 90-degree turn, round it over so the flow is smother, continuing the flow all the way through.
The third observation to note is the tool mark about 1/2 inch down under your wonderful pyrography, jumps right out there. Overall you have a very nice piece.
