Thank you very much Will. This one started as a massive screw up. Ended up with 73 segments instead of 72. It’s a long story. That’s why there is a big black circle for a center section to cover up the mistake. The lighting bolts are a little off but not noticeable. That’s what I had to come up with to fix it. Added the animals and crosses for a little more. 12 to 15 hours in this puppy.

Very nice. FWIW, I vote for leaving it as it currently is. I don't apply a film finish on my basket illusion pieces. I did it once and I was extremely disappointed in the result. And, there is no way to undo a mistake like that. A real coiled basket doesn't have a varnish or lacquer finish, so why should I do it to my basket illusion pieces?
