Maui Koa Bowl

Maui Koa Bowl

14 in wide and 5.5 tall. My first bowl using the Deft Step Saver. I'm cutting the end grain Koa beautifully now with the 40/40 grind. There was a little learning curve, but I got it now. Well worth the effort.
Magnificent bowl Emiliano! I really like the subtle sheen finish that the Deft Step Saver leaves. Very nice indeed. Happy turning.

Wonderful proportions and a perfect shape. This koa looks a little more golden than the pieces I've seen in person. Is that the finish or just the range of coloration for koa?
