MASAI IN THREE

MASAI IN THREE

These pieces were really fun to make , it all started with a class I took with J Paul Fennell back in October in Santa Fe . he taught us a heep of stuff and really opened my mind up to other types of textures and embellishments. he's a great teacher and I would highly recommend taking a class with him.
I had a really hard time coming up with a name but I picked this name cause the pattern really reminds me of a giraffe. Masai is a type of giraffe
The three woods are madrone , mesquite and ash, the ash and mesquite were embellished using my nsk turbine, the madrone piece I used my optima wood burner.
The finish is boiled linseed oil.
Madrone is 5.250 " in diameter by 8 " tall
Ash is 5.400" in diameter by 4 " tall
Mesquite is 4.750" in diameter by 6.500 " tall
