Maple segmented piece

This is maple a mahagony piece with routed inlays and details. I don't do very many segmented pieces but that doesn't mean I don't know how. I can't sell them so they are just for my enjoyment.
If you would like to share the rationale / story for your "I can't sell them" statement, I'd be interested to know why. Please don't feel obliged, if you would rather not. I don't sell anything I make because I give it away.

Around here they pick them up see comment on how beautiful they are. They see the price and put them back down. I put $150 on it. Too much I guess.

They do make excellent gifts though John! I do like your comment about enjoying making them…..that’s why we do woodturning in general.
Your chevrons look great as do your router detailing. Your topper is a nice add….no segmenting there (lol)? I’m looking forward to more of these in the near future!!
