Maple & Ebony Vase

This vase is a collaboration with Avelino Samuel (although he doesn't know it!). I attended the Turning 2017 symposium in Cincinnati, where he was a demonstrator. After his last demo, he noticed I had attended all of his rotations, and he gave me the ebony neck and foot that he made during the demos. So I made the maple vase section to merge with the neck and foot. 8 inches tall, 5 inches diameter. Buffed lacquer finish.
