Maple Bowl

This beautiful Maple bowl was turned last year while freshly cored from a log given to me by a friend. While the larger of the cores were set aside to dry, I made a simple shaped bowl of this piece. It dried to its final shape with fabulous warping. I added a little carving to highlight the natural pattern of the Maple. The finish is lacquer.
