large_oak_burl_bowl

Oak burl 14 inches wide and 8 inches tall. Has 5 coats of Danish oil with a week drying time between coats. Before hollowing the piece I wrapped blue painters tape around the outside (3 layers) and followed with with strapping tape again 3 layers of tape. After hollowing and sanding reversed mounted it to do the bottom of the foot.
