Japanese inspired bowl

A bowl turned from flame box elder burl inspired by a traditional form known as Sengen which is symbolic of talent. About 3" tall and 4" in diameter.
Very nice! The traditional forms done perfect are the best. You showcased this piece of wood beautifully!

The slightly enclosed shapes are very hard to get right. You nailed it.
Is there a reference or source you would recommend for information on traditional Japanese forms or work?
